An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enterprising and inspiring person to join our Business and Enterprise department at Clayesmore School.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of what a modern and relevant business curriculum should offer and have the ability and understanding to motivate and inspire pupils and colleagues. Experience of teaching A Level Business is essential and A Level BTEC Enterprise would be an advantage.

 In addition they will be keen to contribute to the life of a busy boarding school.

Specialist Teacher (Literacy)

Full or part time (0.8fte), permanent

Clayesmore is a wonderful school in which to work, with excellent facilities and a warm, supportive and happy atmosphere.

We wish to appoint a fully qualified specialist literacy teacher, who holds a good degree in a suitable subject with QTS, to join our Teaching and Learning Centre.  The successful candidate will have a Level 5 or higher SpLD qualification along with experience of teaching secondary aged pupils with SpLDs (Dyslexia).

Director of Music (Prep)

Clayesmore Prep School has a long tradition of a lively musical life.  There are thriving choirs, including a junior choir and an auditioned senior choir, a variety of instrumental ensembles including a weekly orchestra and jazz band, as well as a string group, percussion ensemble, glee club and pop band, amongst others.

Plumbing and Maintenance Operator

Full-time, all year round

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing and Maintenance Operator to join our Estate team in this newly created role.  

The ideal candidate will have a plumbing and general maintenance background and be willing to undertake training through Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) to acquire the skills and knowledge required to run a safe swimming pool.  In addition to the swimming pool and plant room duties, the post holder will undertake various equipment and facility maintenance, both reactive and preventative, and water sampling when required.

Clayesmore has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team of talented and experienced staff in the heart of Dorset. Clayesmore prides itself in providing a comprehensive, in-house fresh food service to its pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will be well presented and a hard-working team player with a good sense of humour. Experience within the catering trade would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

The role is full time, 35 hours per week and is an all year round role. You would be entitled to 6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.
