Teacher of Business (Maternity cover)

Maternity cover – start time February Half Term 2026 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Business Teacher to join our Business and Economics department at Clayesmore School.

The candidate will have experience of teaching A Level Business and Level 3 BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. They must have the ability and understanding to motivate and inspire pupils. The candidate will be required to teach Years 12 and 13only.

This is a fixed term, part time position; a competitive salary and attractive benefits are provided for the successful candidate.

Teacher of Games (Maternity cover)

To commence in January 2026

Part time (0.53fte)

We wish to appoint a dedicated and skilled teacher to contribute to the Girls’ Games programme in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach netball, athletics and hockey and it will also be an advantage if you hold relevant coaching qualifications. You will plan and deliver engaging games lessons, and attend fixtures.

Clayesmore Coffee Shop ‘The Writer’s Block’

Chef (Coffee Shop)

We are inviting applications from hardworking, customer focused and friendly people for a Chef role for our onsite Coffee Shop.

The successful applicant will bring innovation and creativity to the role, and will be responsible for menu planning, ordering and overall high standards of food service for our Clayesmore coffee shop.

Although this role is primarily focused on the preparation of food, your day will be hands on and customer facing, working in a small team creating an

environment that is warm and welcoming for all who visit the coffee shop. You will have an eye for detail and be interested in serving good coffee, good food and making people happy.

This is a great opportunity to work in hospitality. The hours to be worked are Monday through to Friday, 8am until 2pm, with occasional weekend work, all year round.

Chef - Coffee Shop Job Description

 

School Receptionist

Permanent, Part Time

To commence 1 December 2025

This role requires an enthusiastic, well organised individual with a warm and welcoming nature with outstanding customer service skills

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a confidential and busy environment, have excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of IT and telephony skills. A flexible approach to work is essential, along with an ability to work with tact, discretion and diplomacy at all times.

The post holder will work 34 hours per week and the days to be worked are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 08:30am until 17:30pm termtime only.

Minibus Driver (PCV)

Term Time only 

Mornings: 06:15am/06:30am to 8.30am 

Evenings: 17.00pm to 19.20pm.

We are seeking a minibus driver for morning and evening home to school runs.

The successful applicant must be a good timekeeper, have a DI category and a clean driving licence.

Duties and Responsibilities

To undertake minibus driving each school day during term time
To carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (checking oil levels, etc)
To ensure prompt departure from school or external collection points in accordance with the minibus schedule to ensure all pupils arrive and depart on time for all trips. Communicate with parents or guardians where appropriate
To be aware and comply with the protocols and procedures in the event of an emergency/breakdown
To fully comply with all school policies and procedures as well as external legislation, road traffic regulations and the Highway Code
To ensure pupils adhere to all School regulations throughout the journey, including remaining seated and wearing seat belts
To ensure that there is enough fuel left in the tank after every trip in support of other journeys
To report vehicle defects to the Transport Manager
To ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy before and after use
To be responsible for the Health and Safety, comfort and welfare of pupils while in the minibus
To be prepared to cover for absent colleagues and to be available for other minibus driving requirements outside the normal hours for this role
To attend relevant training courses as required
To ensure that pupils are met by adults when dropping of at scheduled parent collection points. Drivers must disembark the vehicle to ensure safe delivery and are responsible for ensuring pupils cross roads safely. A duty of care towards our pupils is paramount.
If the bus is anticipated to be late, on either inward and/or return journey, both the school, and parents must be immediately informed
To fully comply with all vehicle security regulations, school and DVSA rules and regulations relating to licences, including updating the school as appropriate and allowing licence checks to be conducted every twelve months.

We have some exciting opportunities for friendly and helpful drivers to join our excellent team.

 You will be providing the safe and caring transport of our pupils to and from school at the start or end of the school day, as well as to fixtures and various events across the school year.

The successful candidates will have a clean driving licence with D1 category and will be required to undertake a full driving assessment.
