Exeats & Half Terms

Exeats & Half Terms

An Exeat is a weekend when the school closes for a short weekend break but International students are able to stay in school.

International and overseas boarders who are unable to return home are welcome to stay at the school and participate in fun and interesting weekend trips and day excursions (charges for Exeat weekends will be published in advance). However, we are unable to accommodate international boarders over Half Terms and holidays and strongly encourage students to return home, or if this is not possible, to stay with their Guardian or friend for these longer breaks.

Exeat weekend excursions can include trips to London or Edinburgh, shopping trips to the historic Georgian city of Bath, visits to the Jurassic Coast, day trips to Longleat Safari Park and House, fun excursions to water parks, visits to historical sites and much more!

COVID and Travel Arrangements

COVID

The school has been able to manage the COVID pandemic safely and with very little interruption to lessons. We swiftly moved to online learning during government lockdowns, set up systems and processes to ensure students' health and safety while they are in school and have the benefit of a superb Health and Wellbeing Centre, run by qualified medical professionals, to conduct tests, arrange vaccinations and swiftly identify and isolate any COVID cases to ensure minimal impact on the school community.

The school has been operating a regular Lateral Flow Testing regime and has managed to keep COVID cases to an impressive low.

We are able to run flexible end of term dates for those overseas boarders who need to return home to ensure that COVID does not impact travel arrangements and we offer online learning in these instances. Our priority is always to keep our students and community safe and to do all we can ensure our overseas and international students are able to see their families during well-earned school holidays.

Our Transport Manager, Hazel Horley, is able to assist with transport arrangements to and from airports and train stations. All travel should be booked in with her on hhorley@clayesmore.com. She is very happy to assist wtih your travel arrangements to and from school.
